If you are thinking about starting or further developing an independent consulting practice, consider registering for the Introduction to Independent Consulting Workshops with Matt Feldmann. Matt has presented several abbreviated versions of this workshop to CEA as part of our speaker exchanges. Participants will work independently and in small groups to create a business plan that will form the basis for an independent consulting practice. Matt leads the weekly Independent Consulting Chats, is the president of the St. Louis evaluation affiliate, a member of CEA, and co-edited the New Directions for Evaluation special edition on independent consulting.

WHAT: A 4 part, 8 hour workshop on independent consulting. Each week the participants will work on a section of a personal business plan that will be a guide on how to initiate or further develop their consulting practice.
WHEN: They are scheduled for January 18, 20, 25, and 27. Each meeting will be 2 hours and will start at 3 p.m. EST.

The UHI implements community health worker program models across multiple health areas (Cardiology, Maternal and Child Health, Asthma etc.) and is responsible for evaluation of these programs. Break Through Tech Chicago seeks a team oriented Educational Program Evaluation Coordinator. We are partnering with CREA at the University of Illinois for a special opportunity for current Chicago-based under-represented minority (URM) graduate students or early career (1-2 years) evaluators to apply for a conference registration scholarship to the Center for Culturally Responsive Evaluation and Assessment's (CREA) Sixth International Conference from September 29th to October 1st 2021. The conference is taking place at the Palmer House in Chicago and the scholarship is open to graduate student attendees or early career evaluators only. Eligibility and application details are provided below.
The timeline for selection is short and there are only a limited number of scholarships available. Please fill out the application at (CREA/CEA Application Form), which is due by 5pm CST on Monday, July 16, 2021.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a member of a traditionally underrepresented racial/ethnic minority group. Pursuant to Section 9.16 of the Board of Higher Education Act (110 ILCS 205), the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) annually reports to the Governor and General Assembly on the status and participation of underrepresented groups in higher education.
